Often it is a difficult task for the development departments to develop a test environment in addition to mostly time cirtical new developments. GDS-Engineering is specialized to Support you competently and purposeful.

GDS inspections-and test benches are developed in collaboration with our partners according to jointly developed concepts. Our inspections- and test benches are basically constructed for highest reliability and smallest tolerances (measuring accuracy in per mille range). For us it is an matter of course to have flawless communication with the specimes about CAN-, FlexRay- or SPI-Busssystem. Also important for us is the user-friendly interface area. Our inspections- and test benches are generally designed with NI-Controls and LabView as an Graphical-User-Interface.

for testing and quality control of components

The following applications you can test:

All measurements can be accomplished as described above. The communication can take place about CAN-bus or other bus-systems or rather about direct control of the components.


A discbrake with integrated electric handbrake is functionally tested. Brake and electric drive become disconnected and about a measuring wave with torque measurement and torsion angle measurement again connected. The test bench measures motor voltage and motor current, torque, number of revolutions, angle of rotation and tension. It will be charged the online engine speed, stroke, out put and various degrees of efficiency.

Automated actuation sequences can be programmed before measuring. A test sequence with automated evaluation and target/actual comparison with parametrizable parameters is also available.


The hydraulics will be automatically vented, after it is manually piped. Via the control unit, the funciton test runs, in which the valves and the motor of the ABS are controlled. Also the pressurization oft the test-bench is carried out by he control unit. With a Variation of the test-benches have been leveled several thousand with a quick piping by a press tested and automatic rated.


While the brake components for the automobile manufacutrer becomes "dry" delivered, a lot of components for service have to be filled with brake fluid. This test-bench evacuated the ABS till a minimal rest vacuum, performs a leak test and fills the unit with brake fluid. After that, the filling area becomes dry again and the next unit can be filled.

The break fluid becomes constantly circulated under vacuum, degassed and freed from moisture.


The volume of a brake component is measured at continuously increasing pressure. The unit has an integrated bleed pump. The handling is very easy, the own volume recodring is stored in the device and with every measurement automatic compensated. She can be new measured and compensated every time.


The test-bench is doing analysis at dry ABS-systems. There is a low pressure area till 6 bar, a middle-pressure area till 60 bar and a high-pressure area till 200-bar. The tightness of intern components at low pressure, the power of the pump at middle pressure and the tightness and strength at high pressure is tested.

The test-bench is doing pneumatic tightness-tests at dry break-components. For test-pressures you can use 10 - 200 bar or 0,5 - 6 bar overpressure and 0 - 1000 mbar low-pressure. The test-sequences can be created free. A test-sequence can include divers tightness-tests with different test-pressures.


6 pairs of breaks can be tested in the same time with one test-bench. Every break-pair can be tested with different programs. The programs can be constructed, edit and archived in an easy way with the associated Software. The breaks can be controlled electonic current-dependent or elasticity-dependent. A hydraulic pressure can be installed or dismantled additionally. The test-bench can also control the climate chamber.


The test-bench is developed for doing continuous-tests for hand-break-applications. With a pneumatic-cylinder you can adjust freely programmable cable pulling forces. About a hydraulic pressure-converter you can adjust programmable hydraulic pressures. The programs can be constructed, edit and archived in an easy way with the associated software. The timing for tension and hydraulic pressure can be selecteed freely.


The GDS-brake circuit-breaker is used for the test of brake-systems in test-vehicles. The contactor is intended for actuation of special magnet valves (not included in the delivery). The magnet valves Interrupt the Connection of main break cylinder to the vehicle-breaks.





 While brake components are delivered "dry" for the car manufacturer, the components for service or development must be filled with brake fluid before shipment. This test bench evacuates the brake caliper to a minimum residual vacuum, performs a leak test and fills the unit with brake fluid.

Subsequently, the filling area is dried and the next unit can be filled.
